Projecto TASSA is a Portuguese brand based in the Algarve region, focused on promoting local traditional crafts. They work closely with local artisans and designers to co-develop products made from regional materials, aiming to preserve and innovate traditional techniques. I joined the team to create a consistent visual identity system and support the communication of the brand’s mission across digital and physical formats.
Working with the existing logo and primary typeface Gilroy, I developed a new color palette, selected a complementary font (Roboto) for digital communication—used especially in social media or other formats where Gilroy may not be available—and created a flexible design system. For special occasions, such as the weekly TASSA Clube workshops, I introduced the expressive Manolete font to bring a distinctive and celebratory character to those events.
To unify both typefaces across formats, I designed subtle CTA buttons that complement each font and reinforce the brand’s call-to-action without overwhelming the design.
I prepared Canva templates for the internal team to easily use, while also designing a wide range of visual materials—from product and lifestyle photography to social media content, printed catalogs, flyers, and service portfolios. I also designed packaging, product tags, technical sketches for product development, and window displays. Although the website template couldn’t be changed, I prepared visuals and ensured design consistency across all online platforms.
The result was a strong, unified brand identity that reflected the authenticity and craftsmanship of the products, while making the brand more sophisticated and engaging for contemporary audiences. My work helped raise awareness around the value of local production and traditional crafts, strengthening Projecto TASSA’s presence across both online and offline channels.
